See details below.

New America Outdoors Member Benefit Can Help Save Up to 42% on Health Insurance Premiums!
One of the biggest challenges facing many employers today is undoubtedly the rising cost of providing health care benefits for employees. America Outdoors has partnered with Assurant Health, a preeminent national provider of individual and comprehensive group health benefit plans for employers, to develop insurance products designed to meet the unique needs of America Outdoors members. With these plans, you may be able to save up to 42 percent on your annual health insurance premiums.

The program provides several individual and group health insurance plans-including Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRA). In addition to potentially substantial premium savings, a few of the other potential benefits include:
  • choice of doctors and hospitals from national PPO networks
  • choice of deductible and coinsurance options
  • initial 12 month rate guarantee
  • plans with a $20, $25, $30, or $40 co-pay for doctor visits
  • optional life, dental, disability and vision insurance
  • worldwide coverage, 24 hours a day

NPS Environmental Audit
Questionnaire on the AO Website
The National Park Service is conducting environmental management audits of concessioners under contract. A questionnaire has been developed in order to evaluate each individual contract and to gather basic information about concessioner facilities and services required and/or authorized. The questions in the document are not intended to determine the level of regulatory compliance by a concessioner, but rather to identify environmental audit criteria that may be applicable to concessioner facilities and services. The audit teams use the questionnaire as a planning tool to determine what resources are needed for the environmental audits and to prepare for the site visit. During the first day of the audit, the audit team reviews the questionnaire with each individual concessioner and the park to ensure that the answers provided are applicable and specific to the operations.

The program uses one standard Audit Questionnaire for all of our environmental audits. NPS recognizes that the breadth and depth of this document is not warranted for all concession operations, but a comprehensive document is used to ensure we cover the scope of activities and services provided by all concessioners. NPS encourages concessioners to note those sections that they believe are not applicable when completing the questionnaire and NPS will then follow-up and verify the applicability when the audit team is on-site.

The audit questionnaire will also be an important document to consider when submitting proposals for NPS contracts.

To view the questionnaire go to Member Resources at http://www.americaoutdoors.org/member-resources.htm Call 800-524-4814 if you need the password to access the Government Affairs and Legal Issues section, the location for this document.
