Updates on PCI Compliance for AO Members

AAMS has postponed implementation of the PCI non-response fee to at least January for America Outdoors members. This should provide relief for members immersed in their busy summer season.

Please disregard the following message on your September statement because this message does not apply to AO members and you will not be impacted in November:

"Beginning, November 1, 2007, AAMS Merchant Services will begin assessing a monthly risk fee of $10 in accordance with the terms of the Merchant Card Processing Agreement. This fee is being charged to merchants that did not validate their PCI DSS compliance by September 1, 2007. This monthly risk fee does not exempt a merchant from being fined any additional fees that are associated with a compromise.

To avoid this monthly risk fee, please contact their preferred vendor, Security Metrics at 1-800-557-4797, to begin your validation process. For additional vendors, please visit www.pcisecuritystandards.org".
