Strategic Issues and Opportunities in a Recovering Economy
Topics include:

In the first part of a two-part session, presenter Patrick Tabor will look at the broad strategic issues that come to play in these trying times.  While several companies seek only to survive, the current climate also leads to opportunities for companies to expand or reposition.  Pat will also be speaking on Tax Structure and Planning Opportunities to Save Money and Improve Profitability. Patrick Tabor is an outfitter, accountant and owner of Swan Mountain Consulting. 

The Business of Innovation -- Terry Jones, Founder of Travelocity and Chairman of Kayak.com
Terry Jones, the founder of Travelocity and the current Chairman of Kayak.com will give the keynote address on The Business of Innovation at AOA’s Marketing and Management conference in Reno on December 8th.  An innovation exercise will also be part of the presentation so participants will walk away with strategies necessary to start the change process in their business.  Many speakers talk about the future, Terry gives audiences step by step plans to create it.  Jones knows the outfitting business having spent his family vacation this year on an outfitted trip.

Nominees Announced for AOA Board of Directors

The nominating committee headed by AOA President Greg Henington is proposing the following slate of officers for the America Outdoors Association Board of Directors with their 3-year term beginning immediately after the election at lunch on December 8th at the AOA annual meeting in Reno, Nevada.

Mike Mills, owner of the Buffalo Outdoor Center in Arkansas is the nominee for President.  Mike served as the Director of Tourism for the state of Arkansas in the 1990’s, is a NPS concessioner and outfits on the Buffalo National River.  He is an accomplished builder of luxury cabins and an airplane pilot.

We are very grateful to the Board members who have served the association and industry over the past 4 years spending countless hours to develop a clear mission statement to guide the organization in the coming years.  Special thanks to Greg Henington who guided the organization as President through this period.  For more information about the nominations and election contact Greg Henington at greg@ffoc.net
