When we finished last year's event, we thought we'd have a hard time topping the learning opportunities in Daytona. After 3 months of research, following your input from our surveys, we think we have found some remarkable new programs to help you, your staff and your business grow. Here are just a few of the highlights already on tap for Salt Lake City, December 8 – 10:
• Successful Sales Strategies and Campaigns for Small Business. You may have a strategy or bits and pieces of one. What can you realistically implement and how you follow-up can be the key to sales whether your employees are full-time, year around employees or seasonal workers. This session will provide you with usable strategies to implement a successful campaign.
• Content Rules: What's It Take to Be Heard in a Noisy World? Anyone with a website is now a "publisher," but what does that mean, exactly? And in our noisy world, how can we publish the kind of content that will connect with and engage the people we want to reach? What tools should we use? Which channels will engage our customers? What can we do to ignite our businesses? How are we going to manage it all? And is it hot in here... or is it me? Take a deep breath. Let's take a step back, and look at what you need to do to market your business successfully using content and social tools.
• Negotiating Skills. We all use negotiation skills in nearly every area of our lives, every single day. To negotiate is not simply to convince the other party to see and do things your way; it is to seek and find a compromise that makes both parties happy, even if one person ends up spending a bit more, working a bit more, or sacrificing a bit more than they'd originally anticipated. Negotiation skills training, then, is teaching people how to get what they want, while working within a framework that values everyone's happiness. Beyond learning how to approach clients and coworkers when conflicts arise, what language to use and what language to avoid, when to compromise and when to stand one's ground, and how to negotiate a final outcome that is acceptable to all involved, a good negotiation skills trainer caters to the internal style of the company itself.
