About Camp Washington
Camp Washington is America Outdoors Association’s annual legislative fly-in, bringing outfitters, guides, and outdoor recreation leaders to Washington, DC for coordinated meetings with Members of Congress, congressional staff, and federal agencies. Participants help advance AO’s priority issues—grounded in real-world business experience and constituent voice.
Costs & What’s Covered
AO covers the coordination, strategy, and advocacy infrastructure for Camp Washington, including core meeting scheduling, policy briefings and primers, preparation sessions, and coordination with AO’s Washington, DC advocacy partners.
Participants are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and personal meals. Some participants may choose to share housing or group meals to manage costs, with expenses split among those participating.
Preparation
All participants will receive issue primers and participate in pre-event preparation meetings to ensure they are informed, aligned, and ready for effective meetings on Capitol Hill.
